Actually, it was a chain yank for the right wingers. It was 40
Deg F here, and that ain't really warm. The point is, so many of
the right wingers are southerners that 40 is artic to them. For
us native northerners, in January 40F is warm enough to go out
in a short sleeve shirt for a bit. I was out there last week in
freezing weather, for a short time, in a short sleeve shirt.

Actually, I was born and raised in upstate New York, right on the shores of Lake Ontario. 40 degree temperatures in January in that locale is probably something you'd wear a light jacket to school in. Going in and out of doors, knocking hanging ice from eaves, or sweeping snow from a walk or porch steps
in a tee shirt or long-sleeved polo shirt wasn't unheard of.


One of my step-sister's owned a house right up on the shore of the Great Lake, and I used to spend weekends there with my nephew (he was the same age as I was) ice skating on the lake.

As I asked them, how long does it take you to change a headlight
bulb. Note that access was relatively easy.

Those who think they're talking to people who've never experienced cold weather, and are boasting about how long they stayed outdoors in 40 degree temperatures wearing a tee shirt, are put their own foot in their mouth. (again!)

Notice no mention of how long, lestwise boasting. The question
was how long does it take. Answer, not very long at all.

TR took the statement that many of the right wingers live in the
South and turned it into an implication that *ALL* of the right
wingers live in the South. Notice he didn't catch it the first
time around, but only after I gave my followup. He responded
with an extended, and meaningless, lecture on global climate
change, linking cycles that take from tens of thousands to
millions of years to current and short term temperature
increases.
