I have been digging through the filegate's archives and I am finding
utilities in some of the pascal echos that I used to use a long time ago.

Problem is... I don't know how to compile source code. Is there anyone on
here that can compile a few things for me?

Janis has treasure over there... lots and lots of treasure.

What language are they in, what platform are you using?

that depends on the compiler needed... i have turbo pascal 6, borland pascal 7,
freepascal and several others... anything written for TP/BP will be 16bit... compiling a 32bit version will likely take more work than just simple compiling
    of the code...

what code, specifically, are you looking to have compiled? what is the destination OS? what is the desired bitness? 16bit, 32bit or 64bit?

    Hi Allen,

I had to stop your ftp'ing last night though Allen. You were hitting several nodes here all at the same time... (5 IIRC) :( That doesn't work on a system that needs more than a few nodes free for incoming mail and file traffic :( I crash traffic out to a lot of folks on three dedicated dial-out nodes here (of 15) and that's no problem, but tons more people pick up here and don't have me send to them crash. See my notes in the Filegate.zxx I hatched out today.

Hopefully you did get all the pascalnet and PDNPASCL files over here last night <grin> I let your ftp go on for quite a while as you went through just about everything here, but I did have to stop you when I noticed some problems here.

    Take care,
    Janis

In that case I might be able to help.

I have TP 7 and FPC somewhere so can compile some for you.

Note that TP 7 is extremely old as is really for MSDos mode so not suitable for
Win 10 and has problems with Win 7.

The FPC is best for Windows, Linux, OSX etc.

Issue will come in if any are using inbeded assembler
