• Keybase updates

From Avon@21:1/101 to All on Thursday, October 12, 2017 21:18:43
Big changes announced at Keybase today and I for one am interested in all of this stuff... I just need a 25 hour day to understand and play with it all.

I wish there was something like this for a secure version of BBS messaging,
or perhaps the keybase engine can be mashed with BBS FTN systems to create something that might work in this space. I really don't know.

    Which changes do you mean?

I think we all need 72 hours to the day, I know I do :)

I wish there was something like this for a secure version of BBS
    messaging,

Once they have upped their game (because they're obviously reaching for some of
the "Chat" apps since they launched the group/teams stuff), I think we'll see a better exposed API for integrations.

We could do encrypted FidoNet already using PGP and what not.

I have not used their services much but it sounds like the launch of 'teams' and end to end encrypted Git.

I plan to play with some of this over the coming weeks.

Yep :) Story of our lives huh :)

Yes, those are new (and great).

I like how they did it in the right order. First get your encryption stuff right, then start looking at bells 'n whistles and not the other way around (like so many others).

    Yes sir.
