1 1/4 c Butter; softened
3/4 c Brown sugar; packed
1/2 c Sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1/8 ts Nutmeg
3 c Oatsl
2 c Chocolate chips
1 c Walnuts; chopped
Set oven @ 350°F/175°C.
Cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy. Beat
in egg and vanilla. Stir flour with baking soda, salt
and spices; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir
in oats. Fold in chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookies, 10 to 11
minutes for a crisp cookie; remove to wire cooling
racks.
Store in tightly covered container.
