  • Vertrauen system(s) overhaul

    Vertrauen is currently comprised of 2 systems that are in dire need of upgrade:
    * bbs.synchro.net (2.8GHz P4, 512MB RAM, Windows 2000)
    * cvs.synchro.net (3.2GHz Athlon64, 512MB RAM, Fedora Core 3 Linux-i686)

    Some time this month, I'll be upgrading the OSes (to Windows 7-32 and a current Linux-x64 distro), RAM, and hard disks on both systems. There is likely to be some down time. Please do not be alarmed.

    bbs.synchro.net (the machine most often addressed as vert.synchro.net), has now been upgraded to Windows 7 (32-bit), 2GB RAM, and new/larger hard disk.

    I'm now in the process of ugprading cvs.synchro.net to Debian Linux-x64 (5.0.4) with a new 1.5TB drive. Expect more down time in the coming days, but hopefully not too much. :-)

    The "linux box" (was Fedora Core 3-i686, now Debian 5.0.4 x64) which goes primarily by cvs.synchro.net is now back up with, what I think is, 100% functionality.
