    Sadly Pascal seems to be greatly undervalued these days.
    gpc appears to have been left to rot. There's FreePascal though, which makes me think I should set up a Linux machine and perhaps buy a book on it. I'm not
    sure what libraries that would give me access to.

    i use FPC on OS/2, windows and linux... along with lazarus as part of my development environment... FPC can run on these and cross-compile for others...
