"Break down" a huge file at specified locations into smaller files. File Splitters use Byte or Line counting which is not ideal in some situations. The file may be too big for a Text editor. NAME2NUM.EXE version 1.0B Usenet news groups often contain multiple copys of the same file with different names. NAME2NUM converts filenames to the CRC32 of the file contents. Multiple copies if the same file can be detected and optionally deleted. NAME2NUM runs under DOS, WINDOWS and W95. Source code is included.
